In a lot of cases PREMIS is used within OAIS inspired/compliant applications. Therefore a more elaborate text on how they relate would be good to have in the OAIS standard.

Today the OAIS standard just mentions PREMIS in section: 1.5 ROAD MAP FOR DEVELOPMENT OF RELATED STANDARDS.

As the OAIS standard is focused on OAIS, it will most likely be relevant to add such text in an appendix to the standard including examples. As an alternative it could be added on the PREMIS site, - but the discussion would be good to have on this blog

Interesting topics to look closer into would be:
*analyze whether there are incompatibilities between OAIS and PREMIS and resolve them if necessary.
*check that terminology is used in the same as OAIS - and specify any differences in meaning
*have examples where PREMIS and OAIS is used jointly"
